With July more than half over, we check in with the 2017 grads and see what their summer plans include. Job searching? Relaxing?

From a couple of months, I was trying to find a job. But, fortunately, last month, I found a full time job, where I am working on weekdays. It is an office job, where I have to prepare paperwork and they are paying me good too. Therefore, I am not stressed as I was before because of the financial pressures.
Meanwhile, I am also enjoying the summer to the fullest. My parents came to see me on my graduation and they will be spending a couple of weeks with me. I have been visiting many places and exploring Canada on the weekends. Spending the time with the family is always fun and you get a sense of security too.
Now a days, my mother has been cooking for me, packing my lunches and doing a lot for me. So, for the past few weeks, I have been really relaxing a lot. This relaxing may not last much longer, but the quality of time spent with the family is definitely above the quantity of time.
I have been in constant touch with my friends as well. Some of them have found the jobs whereas some of them are still struggling. But, I am trying to help them as much as I can to find a job. Many of my friends’ parents are also visiting them so they are also having a good family time too.
Overall, this summer has been nice to me and I am enjoying it well. Moreover, I am financially stable and I am having a good time with my family.

How am I spending my summer?… Well I am working!! I ended on a seven-week placement with no job so I needed to find something right away for employment. I was fortunate enough to find a casual job in my field right away. I would love to enjoy the summer weather and relax after 5 years of school but it is not realistic for me. I am working two jobs and dealing with adult things such as personal payments, monthly.
I know some of my classmates have clinic jobs in the physiotherapy area to get started which is awesome for them! And others are working at other part time or full time jobs.
I continue to apply to different jobs every day and keep telling myself it takes time to find the perfect job! So I will continue to enjoy the sun and get my career started when the opportunity comes along.
